Namibia’s ruling SWAPO party rejects opposition call for poll re-run

In Namibia, the governing Swapo party has rejected calls by the opposition for a re-run of the just-ended general election. It comes after a group of opposition political parties called for the cancellation of the presidential and national assembly elections, citing widespread voter irregularities and rigging.
