South Sudan’s Minister of Justice, Ruben Adol Arol, has nullified the $75,000 registration fee for political parties aspiring to participate in the December 2024 elections. Lawyer Gabriel Kuot Akok Den, representing 14 political parties, has threatened to sue the government at the East African Court of Justice in Arusha, alleging that the government is obstructing their participation in the upcoming polls. He spoke with VOA’s John Tanza.
