Sierra Leone marks Earth Day

Monday is Earth Day. The World Economic Forum’s Global Risks Report 2024 says environmental issues make up half of the top 10 risks over the next 10 years. Yvonne Aki-Sawyer, the mayor of Sierra Leone’s capital, Freetown tells VOA’s James Butty that the city will observe the day by focusing on sanitation and visiting the city’s tree-planting areas.
