As the war between Russia and Ukraine enters the third year, global supply chains particularly those in eastern Africa are being impacted. Potentially looking to fill those gaps is China, which has steadily increased investment in many African countries through its Belt and Road Initiative. VOA's Philip Alexiou spoke with Alex Vines, the director of the Africa Programme at Chatham House for a look into the global dynamics at play on the African continent.
