RSF: Humanitarian needs of Sudanese goal of proposed government

An official of Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) says one goal of the parallel government formed recently in Kenya is to address the humanitarian needs of the over 20 million Sudanese living in RSF-controlled areas. The RSF and other groups signed an agreement last week to form a governing administration. UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres warned that the move could lead to further escalation of the nearly two-year old brutal civil war. Sudan recalled its ambassador to Kenya in protest over Kenya’s hosting of the RSF group.
