12-year-old ‘Keepie Up’ Pro Kicks it for Charity

Dagmawi Tewodros is watching as many games as he can at the World Cup in Qatar, hoping that one day it will be him taking center stage. Until then, the 12-year-old is using his passion for the pitch to push for social justice and charity in his home country Ethiopia. To raise funds, the young World Cup aspirant completed 974 “keepie uppies” outside Stadium 974 in Doha, an event his family live streamed on social media. Dagmawi hopes to help 10 charities with his efforts, including ones that treat children with cancer and heart conditions.
