Francis Kéré is the first African to be awarded the Pritzker Prize for Architecture.The citation for the international award recognizes “his buildings, for and with communities, are directly of those communities – in their making, their materials, their programs and their unique characters.” On May 26, Kéré will receive architecture's top accolade in London.
