Dust Cloud Dims Red Hypergiant Star

Astronomers say the same mechanisms that caused the star Betelgeuse to dim last year are also dimming a red hypergiant star, VY Canis Majoris. For Science in a Minute, Rick Pantaleo reports that a dust cloud is blocking light coming from the star's surface.
