Russia Hacking and Disinformation

Host Carol Castiel and Tatiana Vorozhko, senior editor in VOA’s Ukrainian Service, discuss Russia’s ongoing political warfare with the West and the United States in particular with Alina Polyakova, senior fellow for Foreign Policy at the Brookings Institution. Polyakova tells VOA that Russia’s ability to hack critical infrastructures including energy, nuclear and commercial facilities, along with its insidious disinformation campaigns on social media, poses a serious threat to US national security and democratic norms.
