Io, the third largest of Jupiter’s 79 moons, is considered the most volcanically active object in the Solar System. For Science in a Minute, VOA's Rick Pantaleo reports that astronomers found that volcanic activity directly produces 30 to 50 percent of Io’s atmosphere and help destabilize it.
