Ugandan Military Captures ADF Commander Responsible for Tourist Killings
Uganda's military says it has captured a commander of an extremist group accused of killing two tourists last month. The extremist group Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) has ties to the Islamic State group. Following the attack on the tourists, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni urged security agencies to ensure the group “is wiped out." A Ugandan military spokesperson Col. Deo Akiiki tells VOA’s Douglas Mpuga that the senior commander with ADF is in military custody.
