Some South Sudanese traders and economists are calling on the government to set up a regulatory body that can help control the fluctuating exchange rate of South Sudanese pounds to the U.S dollar. South Sudan’s Auditor General Stephen Wondu blames the Central Bank of South Sudan for what he calls inadequate supervision over foreign exchange rates in the market.
