Scientists led by NASA and the Harvard–Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics say they may have spotted an extragalactic planet. While nearly 5,000 planets from outside of the solar system, but within our Milky Galaxy, have been detected, this may be the first planet to be found in another galaxy.
