Microsoft to invest nearly $300 million by 2027 to boost South Africa’s AI infrastructure

Brad Smith, the Vice Chair and President of Microsoft, on Thursday announced that Microsoft will be investing an additional $296.81 million by the end of 2027 to expand its cloud and Artificial Intelligence, or AI, infrastructure in South Africa, to meet the growing demand for the tech company’s Azure services in the region.
