Kiir Suspends Peace Talks with Rebels [3:42]
South Sudan President Salva Kiir has suspended peace talks with holdout rebel groups that had been taking place in Rome. Kiir says the groups have continued to carry out activities that destabilize the country and says his government will only resume the talks when the rebels agree to engage in genuine negotiations. The rebel groups deny Kiir’s accusation, saying his decision shows his government is less interested in the Rome peace process. For South Sudan, Waakhe Simon Wudu reports from Juba.
