Sudan’s key political players and international partners should ensure that progress on human rights and accountability for serious human rights violations are at the center of any new transition, the Human Rights Watch said Tuesday. In a statement, the rights group said that includes ending the violent crackdown against peaceful protesters, releasing arbitrarily detained protesters and taking steps to ensure accountability for serious abuses.
