Former Sierra Leone President Summoned Over ‘Coup Attempt’

Sierra Leone police have summoned former President Ernest Bai Koroma to report to their headquarters within 24 hours to assist in the ongoing criminal investigation into the failed coup attempt on November 26. The government has said that some of the attackers were current and former bodyguards of the former president. He has said he’s ready to support the investigation to the fullest in the name of the rule of law and called on his supporters to remain calm.
