Former Opposition Member to Sue Zambia's Government
Zambia’s state prosecutor Wednesday entered a “nollie prosequi” a legal term that means government will stop prosecution, amid a murder case involving the former deputy secretary of the opposition Patriotic Front Party, Mumbi Phiri. Makebi Zulu, the legal representative of the former opposition deputy secretary told VOA that his client served time and was released from prison, adding that Phiri intends on suing the state for malicious prosecution and false imprisonment.
