This episode features an amazing playlist from 12 different countries: Current hits from Malawi (Atoht Manje), Seychelles (Grace Barbé), Mali (Mah Damba), Egypt (Amr Diab), Ethiopia (Igitu), Democratic Republic of Congo (Inoss'B), and Tanzania (Mbosso); From Nigeria a special "VOA Top 3 Naija" report by DJs Oladolu & Sola Rogers in Lagos and a song by unsigned artist Boy Ogwu; and classics from Guinea (Sékouba Bambino Diabaté) and Oliver Mtukudzi (Zimbabwe). My MTIA vintage tune from the Sarkisian Archives takes us back to 1983 Ghana with “Ye Nti” by Smart Nkansah and Becky B; and finally Song of the Week is "Je Suis Africain” by the late Rachid Taha from Algeria. Kwame Ofori joins me in the studio to present this title track from Taha's amazing, posthumously released album in 2019.
