Biden Tries to Pave Way for Mideast Two State Solution
U.S. President Joe Biden says a temporary cease-fire in Gaza would ease strained relations with Israel's neighbors and jumpstart a process for Palestinians to have their own state. Since the war broke out in October, the U.S. has tried to promote steps toward creating a Palestinian state as part of a broader deal. Mairav Zonszein, an Israeli-American analyst at the International Crisis Group, spoke with VOA senior analyst Mohamed Elshinnawi about the prospects of U.S. success on such a deal.
