Israel, Hamas Conflict Divides Africa

The ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict in the Gaza strip has left Africa deeply divided, with some countries choosing to remain silent while others have openly shown solidarity with either Israel or Palestine. Abdi Ismail Samatar, professor at the University of Minnesota and a senator in the Somali parliament, tells VOA’s Douglas Mpuga, it's no surprise that African countries look at the conflict differently.
