The chief commissioner of Ethiopia’s Human Rights Commission, Daniel Bekele, is investigating alleged rights abuses during protests over the murder of a popular singer and the arrest of an estimated 9,000 people. For Daybreak Africa, VOA’s James Butty spoke to Bekele about his investigation.
