The U.N. children’s agency says 92 percent of South Sudanese mothers are breastfeeding their babies. For South Sudan in Focus, Viola Elias reports that despite an increase in breastfeeding, one-third of children in South Sudan are not exclusively breastfed in the first six months after birth.
