Local Sudanese groups deliver aid with US non-profit support
A U.S.-based nonprofit, the Community Organized Relief Effort (CORE), is partnering with two local NGOs in Khartoum to support 11 Emergency Response Rooms and Women's Response Rooms across Sudan. These locally-run safe havens provide essential assistance, such as food and water, amid widespread hunger. CORE's Shallin Chikoto told VOA's John Tanza that delivering aid to families trapped in Sudan remains challenging.
