South Sudan’s veterans request allowances

Some soldiers who fought during the struggle for South Sudan’s independence say they have no reason to celebrate country’s 13th Independence Day on July 9. They say the government of South Sudan has done very little to look into the welfare of wounded veterans, many of whom lost body parts during the fight for independence.
