Blinken Meets With Ethiopian Prime Minister: Analysis
On his first stop of a two-country visit to Africa, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken is in Ethiopia's capital Addis Ababa. Blinken met with Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on Wednesday and is also expected to meet with Tigrayan officials in an effort to cement a November peace deal that ended the country's two-year war. VOA's Haydé Adams spoke to VOA Africa senior editor Salem Solomon for insight on Blinken's visit to the East African nation.
